Againora Promotions privacy notice

Data used by the app

The app uses your shop identity, OAuth sessions, product and inventory information, promotion rules, eligibility customer IDs when you choose customer targeting, price observations and operational records. These support authentication, previews, discounts and recovery. It does not collect buyer payment details or copy customer names, email addresses, phone numbers or orders into promotion records.

Shopify’s authenticated session may contain merchant-user identity and contact fields. Privacy webhook payloads may contain customer contact fields; the request queue retains only the customer ID needed to locate eligibility references, the shop, request type and deadline. It does not retain the original payload.

Where records are held

The hosted application stores its data on the operator’s Windows server. Shopify runs checkout and saved discounts. The existing paired Againora installation keeps its authoritative promotion records on the merchant’s PC; its Shopify access token remains on the host. Other stores have separate hosted records and cannot use the paired PC relay.

Access, erasure and retention

Use Shopify’s customer privacy process to request information or erasure. The app verifies Shopify’s signature and queues requests with a 30-day deadline. Hosted customer erasure ends affected customer-targeted offers before removing the references. Shop erasure removes that store’s hosted records after uninstall. Information reports are provided to the store owner through the app’s privacy workflow.

Requests involving the paired PC remain pending until its operator processes the PC records and confirms completion. Completed requests retain a non-identifying delivery hash for retry prevention. Merchant-created reports and backup copies require separate review and deletion by their custodian; a live-database deletion does not erase those copies. Contact support if you cannot access a pending request.

The app has no advertising trackers or sale-of-customer-data feature. Data is used for the application functions described here, with Shopify processing its platform data under its own policies.
